La Paz, the Capital of Baja California Sur is a
charming city 60 miles north of Cabo San Lucas.
Located on the Sea of Cortez, the “City of
Peace “ is far away from the hustle and bustle
of Cabo. La Paz has a rich history and is popular
with tourists from all over the World, especially
Mainland Mexico. The restaurants, shopping and nightlife
are great, but the real treat is the Bay of La Paz
and the Sea of Cortez. The offshore Islands of Espiritu
Santo and Cerralvo are pristine. Surrounded by clear
warm water and teaming with sea life you’ll
see jumping Manta Rays, Dolphins, Whales, Flying
fish and more. Of course the main reason for our
trip to La Paz are the Yellow Tail, Dorado, Pargo,
Rooster fish and other species we can catch at this
time of the year.
• We will spend 4 nights at the luxurious
Hotel Los Arcos, downtown on the waterfront. It
is one of the original hotels in La Paz and has
grown into the finest hotel in the city. •
Check in on Saturday May 3. Fishermen’s Fleet
located next door to Hotel Los Arcos will take us
Panga fishing, two anglers per boat, on Sunday and
Monday. • Sunday morning May 4th: up early
for breakfast at Fisherman’s Fleet. You can
choose to fish Espiritu Santo from La Paz. Or from
the Punta Arena side. Each fishing day breakfast,
lunch and tackle is provided, order beer the day
before, or bring your own. Your fish will be cleaned,
vacuumed packed and frozen. • Monday May 5th:
same schedule. Plan to be gone from about 6 am to
3 pm. • Monday evening we will enjoy a trip
party. • Tuesday May 6th: is an open day to
explore the city, shop, relax, or spend another
day on the water, Scuba diving or fishing is available
for an additional charge. • Wednesday May
7th: is time to go home until the next Reel Fun
Adventure.
