Clover Pass, just North of Ketchikan, is on one of the best Salmon runs in the world. These calm waters are the “highway” for the Salmon returning to span. Ketchikan is known as the “Salmon Capital of Alaska”
Put a line in the water as you leave the dock. King, Pink, Silver and Chum Salmon are plentiful at the Resort when we are there in July. Migrating schools of Pacific Salmon funnel into the protected waterways of the inside passage around Ketchikan.
This is an “all inclusive” trip. Included is transportation from the Ketchikan airport, all meals, tackle, bait and boats. Catch is processed, frozen and boxed. Food is great and the portions plentiful.
Our annual Salmon Derby and prizes are awarded at a Banquet the night before we leave.
Fish as much or little as you like because you are the Captain of your self guided Livingston skiff. Your schedule is whatever you want it to be. Get up early, pack a lunch and spend 12 hours on the water, or go out for a few hours come in for lunch and head into town. The fishing is good all day and the weather is very co-operative this time of year. Besides the four species of Salmon, try your luck on Rock Fish, Halibut and Ling Cod.
While on the water dotted with islands you can see Orcas, Whales and beautiful scenery. Bald Eagles are as plentiful as Seagulls. Be prepared for the magnificent 3-hour sunsets. Spend some time visiting the historic charming town of Ketchikan. Visit the historical Totem Pole Museum, their many shops and experience their distinctive native culture.
Barn-door Halibut charters, 20’ covered aluminum boats with 90 horse Yamaha outboards, and scenic floatplane trips are available options.
